FEMP Leadership Change

Colleagues:

FEMP’s Director Tim Unruh is stepping into a new role within the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Renewable Power.
During his six-year tenure as Director, FEMP has accomplished some amazing achievements, from recently exceeding the President’s $4 billion Performance Contracting Challenge, pushing performance contracting to be “business as usual” within the federal government, to creating a world class training program to support the federal government and the nation.
Leslie Nicholls is now the Acting Director of FEMP. She previously served as FEMP’s Strategic Communications and Training Manager. Leslie brings to FEMP nearly three decades of clean energy and executive management experience. Prior to joining FEMP, Leslie served as Vice President at a major energy and environmental consulting firm. While in this role, she provided expertise to federal agencies and private sector energy companies in the areas of federal and commercial energy management, greenhouse gas reduction, energy efficiency, clean energy deployment, and strategic planning.
