Comfort Systems USA Energy Services Receives Qualification for the Department of Energy’s Qualified List of Energy Services Companies
Deemed capable of quality energy service for federal agencies
WINDSOR, Conn. –January 20, 2010–Effective immediately, Comfort Systems USA Energy Services, a subsidiary of Comfort Systems USA (NYSE: FIX), the premier provider of business solutions addressing workplace comfort, is pleased to announce that they have received qualification for the United States Department of Energy’s (DOE) Qualified List of Energy Services companies (ESCOs).
Inclusion into this well recognized group of energy services companies means Comfort Systems USA Energy Services may compete for advertised federal energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs). The Energy Policy Act of 1992 (EPAct) directed the Department of Energy to develop methods and procedures to bring energy savings performance contracts into the mainstream of federal procurement.
