The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is working with NORESCO to help improve energy efficiency at Calipatria and Centinela prisons. NORESCO has been approved to proceed to construction for implementation of energy conservation measures including lighting, HVAC and controls upgrades. Two projects totaling $16 million were approved in May 2022 and are part of CDCR’s commitment to seek new and innovative opportunities to contribute to the State of California’s energy and sustainability goals and mandates.
