Webinar/Virtual Meeting

Increasing demand for energy resilience is driving innovation in both energy technologies and business models.  This course will examine two avenues for achieving resiliency through energy management technologies.  The first part will consider how retrofitting aging electrical infrastructure can reduce risks and improve facility resiliency.  The second part of the course will explore the technologies and economic tools available to optimize distributed generation and controls within complex, resource constrained environments.

Presented by:

Jean Guay, the newly named CEO of Powersmiths International

Jim Plourde, Business Development Director, PowerSecure

Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will understand the drivers that make Medium Voltage retrofits a priority and learn about Medium Voltage infrastructure and its role in resilience.
2. Attendees will be able to incorporate Medium Voltage – the backbone of the power system – into future energy efficiency projects.
3. Attendees will be able to explain the three economic inputs in the development of microgrid projects.
4. Attendees will be able to identify opportunities for microgrid system optimization through utilization of existing equipment and information.
