Particularly in the lighting controls space, new technologies are often viewed with skepticism about effectiveness and viability. This is especially true for wireless networked lighting control (NLC) solutions. While offering tremendous promise, these solutions might be viewed cautiously by many ESCOs and building owners and operators. Fortunately, early adopter projects are demonstrating the robustness of wireless NLC solutions in a wide range of settings, from Class A commercial real estate to retail applications, warehouse and distribution centers, and outdoor applications.
Rather than focusing on wireless technologies themselves, this session will focus on actual recent installations to explore the challenges and benefits offered by wireless NLC systems as well as best practices to ensure successful installations.
Presenter, Scott Stenger, Vice President, Business Development, McWong International
Learning objectives:
1. Attendees will recognize the importance of identifying project design goals by looking at actual project goals
2. Attendees will explore the importance of project planning for successful installations
3. Attendees will learn some important practices for optimizing the installation process
4. The presenter will share some additional resources useful to ESCOs for ensuring the success of wireless NLC projects.
